"My Hannah bug"

When you were born I thought God blessed me with an Angel.
To be so perfect how could you not be?
Every single day you find a way to amaze me.
God must have plucked you straight out of the heaven and into my arms.
What a great responsibility to care for God's child.
And what an honor that he chose me.
You feel me with such joy, pride, and hope.
Every single day you make me smile.
Every single day my heart bubbles over with pride.
And every single day you give me hope for all human kind.
You exceed my expectations.
How blessed I am to have such a stunningly beautiful girl.
You may not know it, but you single handily inspire me.
Such a serene spirit, so full of life.
You make me want to be a great and wonderful mommy.
I could never have asked for such a perfect little girl.
You are so much more the I could have imagined in my wildest dreams.
Everyday I watch you grow into such a fantastic little lady and I wouldn't miss a second of it.
So move over world, because my little storm, Hannah is on her way!
I love you with every fiber of my being and more and more every day.
I hope that you will always be proud to call me your mommy.
But remember, you will always be my little girl!

"Bonnie's Marathon"

Life is like a marathon race and pacing myself is hard.
I am tired of coming in last place, because that is not my style.
I play the cards that were dealt to me but goldfish is not my game.
I would like to have a full house just every once in a while.
But all that seems to come my way is five card draw.
I will keep on trucking because God is at the wheel.
Giving up is not an option even if I have to be on auto pilot every once in a while.
This is for you Bonnie, and for all that are strong.

"A void no more"

Conflicted in my own self absorption of pain and hurt.
So many unseen scars in my mind and in my heart.
What good am I to anyone else if I am no good to myself.
To not live in the past, but to return to the present.
Just to be present.
Just to be seen and heard.
Have the things I have seen and lived made me stronger or only withdrawn and numb?
To have everything I have ever wanted, yet to have nothing all at the same time.
I don't want to feel like a void, I refuse to life this life anymore.
I don't want to feel unwanted or like a burden, because I am someone.
I want to truly see how fortunate I am, despite of it all.
I want to say I made it.
I want to live to be a hundred and have marvelous stories to tell, and not stories of sorrow.
I will wake up every morning and say, "Thank you Lord, for you are great."
To find true happiness then I must look within myself.
I want to be independent and self reliant.
A spectacular and positive role model to my kids and the people around me.
I want people to see the light radiating from me.
Lord you are my strength, my refuge, and I will run to you.
Only through you will I be great and the person you intended me to be.

"The Unknown"

An explosion of emotions irrupting in my head.
Locked in, boxed in with no end in sight.
Fearful of the unknown.
Fearful of the way I feel.
Fearful of the downward spiral I see my body in.
Fearful of being alone.
Wishy Washy. One Second laughing, the next broke down in tears.
The unseen war inside my body feels like it will never end.
Lord help me fight this battle, be my strength, my refuge.
Without you, the battle would have been lost ages ago.
Without you, I am weak and I know I cannot win.

Don't Drink and Drive!!

The author is unkown on this, however I thought it would be appropriate for the season!!

I went to a party, Mom, and remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom, so i had a Sprite instead.
I felt proud of myself, the way you said I would.
That I didn't drink and drive, though some friends said I should.
I made a healthy choice, and your advice to me was right.
As the party finally ended, the kids drove out of sight.
I got into my car, sure to get home in one piece.
I never knew what was coming, Mom, something I expected least!
Now I'm lying on the pavement, and hear the policemen say, "the kid that caused the wreck was drunk." Mom, his voice seems so far away.
My own blood's all around me, as I try hard not to cry.
I can hear the paramedic say, "This girl is going to die."
I'm sure the guy had no idea, while he was flying high,
because he chose to drink and drive, now I would have to die.
So why do people do it, Mom. Tell Daddy to be brave, Tell sister not to be afarid, Mom.
And when I go to heaven, put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.
Someone should have taught him that it's wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his parents had, I'd still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Mom, I'm getting really scared.
These are my final moments, and I'm so unprepared.
