"Invisibility"

Day to to day I lie around and wonder why.
Was I chosen?
Or could it be a curse that my body should be in such chaos.
For some reason my body thought I would make a great host.
The pain is unreal.
The fatigue is like a boulder on my head, making me powerless.
MS, the disease that attacks your very own body.
So hard for people to understand.
Because our outer shells are so unexposed.
Most days you must look at us and think we look fine.
When truth be told you could never truly understand.
Our faces, our bodies we keep disguised.
Please don't pity us, that is not what we want or need.
We only ask to be understood.
Support more then anything.
To the special people that are our rocks, we love and appreciate oh so much.
The pain you must go through, looking from the outside in.
You must feel as helpless as a newborn babe.
Kudos to you and much gratitude, we could not do this without you.
We have nothing to prove.
We are who we are, miraculous human beings.
