To have lived a lifetime.
The things she must have seen.
32,823 Sunsets.
The countless births and the countless deaths.
Life recycled....
All the laughter and all the tears.
All the hard times in the lines in her face.
Breaking her back picking cotton.
Waiting hand and foot for every one she ever met.
Cooking daily for countless people.
Never faulting, always with a smile on her face.
Of all her 89 years, never speaking ill of anyone.
She was a mother, a best friend, a confidant.
The best person I will ever of had the pleasure to know.
What a loss we have suffered, and heaven has gained.
I know she will be waiting for me, radiating with a smile on her face.
Until then my sweet grandmother, wait for me.
